As some of you may know I’ve spent the last couple of years growing out my hair in order to donate it to create a wig…
Well today was the day - we made the chop!
We’ve all been touched by cancer in some way, shape or form, this May will mark 40 years since I lost my beautiful Mum and I felt like this was my way to make a small difference in the lives of those directly affected - to hopefully help someone feel a bit more like themselves during the hard times.
I decided to do a bit of a fundraiser through the Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute and the money raised will go to regional cancer research and make a difference in the lives of those in our local commutes who may be affected by cancer
Any donations, no matter how big or small, will be greatly appreciated 💖

Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute
The Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute is based in Ballarat and is Australia’s only regionally based cancer research centre. The research is focused on the role of the immune system, how it relates and can be used to treat cancer. It is hoped that by identifying these proteins on the surface of cancer cells, druggable targets can be developed to allow the immune system to attack the cancer, without chemotherapy and radiation. The research aims to help patients with a broad range of cancers – from Leukaemia, Bowel, Ovarian, Breast, Brain and Pancreato-Biliary cancers, as well as haematological cancers.
